I didn’t choose this career,
it found me.
When I moved to Virginia more than fifteen years ago, I saw families celebrating milestone events with limited resources and choices. What began as helping soon grew into a purpose that has shaped my life’s work, and over the years, I’ve realized I was planning events but also helping people celebrate some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
One of my favorite moments is when someone walks into our boutique excited, but unsure. Then she discovers the gown and her whole confidence changes. Her smile changes. Everything begins to feel real. Moments like that remind me that what we do is also about creating confidence, honoring tradition, and giving families memories they’ll treasure for generations.

Karina has been part of Fifteen Wishes from the very beginning and is one of the reasons it all started. She oversees the managerial, financial, and behind-the-scenes operations of the boutique while bringing the freshness, style, and essence that help define the Fifteen Wishes brand.

Cinthia Mendez is a passionate entrepreneur, mother, and the founder of Fifteen Wishes Boutique and EDQ Events. Her journey began in 2016, inspired by her desire to help her daughter find the perfect dress for her pageants. What started as a mother’s search for better options grew into a business dedicated to making women and young girls feel confident, celebrated, and supported.
Today, through Fifteen Wishes and EDQ Events, Cinthia combines her passion for fashion, celebrations, and creating meaningful experiences, helping clients bring their special moments to life with care and attention to detail.
